Our story

A platform for francophones, by francophones.

Eduzena was born from a simple observation: there was no platform designed for French-speaking students as they really learn — on a phone, with a weak connection, and often without a bank card.

Mission

What we're trying to change

Too many French-speaking students learn with tools that were not made for them: built for fibre, payable by card only, written in another language. Our mission: a single platform that stays demanding on quality and accessible to everyone, whatever their network or payment method.

How we got here

From Mobile Money to global francophonie

  1. 2024Étape 1

The idea — a Udemy for francophone Africa

The project starts as a platform for African students: native Mobile Money, offline mode for unreliable 4G, AI subtitles in local languages (Wolof, Bambara, Lingala). We build tech around these constraints — not around them.

  2. 2025Étape 2

    The pivot — global francophonie

We realise Paris teachers who want to reach Dakar have no tool, and French students are looking for a credible OpenClassrooms alternative. Same platform, same catalogue, two markets. We expand without denying our roots.

  3. 2026Now

Today — the francophone learning platform

Eduzena offers certified courses, an included AI tutor, a full Teacher Studio, and EU sovereign hosting. Students pay by card or Mobile Money based on their country. Teachers reach Paris AND Dakar with a single course.

Our values

The principles guiding our choices

Accessible first

Offline, subtitles in local languages, payment by mobile money. We build for the weakest network, the most modest phone and the most common payment method.

Verified teachers

Every teacher application is read by a person, and every course is reviewed before its first publication. We would rather publish less, but better.

Protected data

Data hosted in the European Union, in Germany. No personal data sold or transferred.

AI serving people

The AI tutor does not replace the teacher: it answers right away when a student is stuck, and leaves the teacher time for what matters.

A fair commission

Eduzena takes 30% of each sale, 20% for ambassador teachers. We want those who teach to be well paid.

Transparent

No inflated figures, no invented testimonials, no traps in our checkout. We would rather lose a sale than win a customer in bad faith.

The team

Published by Eduzena SARL

Eduzena is published by Eduzena SARL, a company under Cameroonian law based in Douala. The team is pan-African and French-speaking: developers, designers, teachers and content specialists.

We're hiring

We are looking for teachers (apply from "Become a teacher"), institutions for our first pilots, and soon colleagues. Want to be part of it? Write to us.
